Guide

How to show prayer times on your organisation website

What to publish, which calculation to use, and how to keep the times right.

Show today first, then the month

Visitors want today's times at a glance. Put them on the home page, and link to a full monthly table for planning ahead.

Pick one calculation method and say which

Different communities follow different methods for Fajr and Isha, and for Asr (standard or Hanafi). Ask your imam or committee which one you follow, then state it next to the times so nobody is confused.

Separate start times from jamaat times

Start times come from the calculation. Jamaat times are set by your organisation and change through the year. Show them in separate columns and update jamaat times whenever they change.

Check them against your own timetable

Compare a few dates each month with the timetable your organisation follows. A small mismatch in a published time is the kind of error people notice first.

You can try our free prayer times tool to compare a calculation for your city.
