Guide

How to prepare your organisation website for Ramadan

A short checklist to get your site ready before the month begins.

Start a few weeks early

Ramadan brings more visitors than any other time of year. Do your checks at least two to three weeks before it begins, so there is time to fix things.

Update the timetable

Publish the fasting and taraweeh timetable in one clear place, and link to it from the home page. Say who confirmed the times and when.

List the programme

Give dates, times and places for taraweeh, talks, iftars and the last ten nights. Note whether people need to book, and what to bring.

Make giving easy to find

Many people give during Ramadan. Put one clear link to your donation page near the top, and explain in plain words what gifts are used for.

Plan for last-minute changes

Moon sighting can move dates. Decide who updates the site, and keep an announcement area at the top of the home page ready for changes.
